Things To Come

Ok, I have a bunch of writings that I found from when I was in high school. They are not exaclty short stories, but they are stories, and short. I dunno, they are just some of the things I wrote. I think they are pretty good. So they are going to be posted up on this blog sometime soon. Keep your eyes open for them!

Book of Mormon Goal Update

I wanted to read the whole Book of Mormon in 2 weeks. Merilee challenged me to do so. But a lot has come up this past little while, and I have fallen really behind. However, I have done the best I can. Some days, I would read for hours and hours on end, but I could never catch up. It became a stress to do it because I was always behind. It just wasn't doing me good. I decided to just read as much as I can, and continue to study the scriptures every day.

So Whooc on 2 weeks.

=P

I love to read the Book of Mormon.

Ealy Early Early

I woke up at 4:30 A.M. to go running with Dee.

It was great. I love when running hurts sometimes, and today was one of those days. My knee is dead and yelling at me and my eyes are burning with tiredness. Good run, good run.

Then I called Nan, our earliest phone call ever. Even thought it was really short, it was still really nice =]

I ate a bowl of Multi-Grain Cheerios, which by the way, is a very feminine-focused cereal. It always has facts about women's health on the back, and women's this and women's that. After one bowl, I had enough of its froo froo stuff. So I ate some left over steak and A1 sauce, with my hands. UUUHH! Take that women breakfast! haha

Two Pictures:

Nan's first California breakfast: a homemade, delicious, 11-egg, garnished omelet.

Have a great day!

My Bottom Lip...

..has a white blister/mark on it.

I have alternative explanations, however, they are all lies. No matter how funny I think they are. =P

Truthfully, I ate a really hot piece of Papa John's Pizza and it burned my lip haha.

Today was a great Sunday spent with the Stine Family (my mother's side). My cousins from Minnesota (=]) were there.

Today, I Found Out that I Somewhat Accidentally Watched a Meteor Shower Last Night

Today, was a good day.

I had a "To Do" list and I checked most all of them off, and even did more! I only didn't straighten up my room, and I am going to read my scriptures after I post this. So TA-DA! List: Accomplished.

Disney Scene It is such a fun game. Katherine won! And Marlene did alright haha =P
Mmmm and we ate Panda Express. Sooo good.

Short Conversation with Nan, but it was good because I talked to her three times on the phone today. Suprise calls are nice =]

The Week, Summed Up

Wow, what a spectacular week.
It went by way too fast! I will steal pictures from others to put on here, but until then, I can only describe the fun.

Wednesday was the first day that Nan flew in! Taylor, Kyle and I picked her up after a game of "guess whose legs are Nan's" haha

Then Taylor had to work at 3 ish. So Nan and I had the evening to ourselves =]
We went to the beach, her first time seeing the Pacific Ocean. It was amazing.

Thursday, we went to Taylor's grandparents' house. We rode four-wheelers and picked fruit from their trees. They cooked us a delicious dinner and we had great conversation afterwards.

Friday was my "Surprise" Birthday. Thank you all for coming, it was great to see everyone! And Stephanie came to stay for the weekend. My mom wants her to move in as our nanny hehe.

Saturday, Nan and I ditched the world and spent the day together. You probably don't need to hear or care about all of those details =P hehe

Sunday was full of church and family. My grandparents and aunt and cousin and his wife and Stephanie and Nan were all over for my birthday dinner. I love good food and good company. Naturally, it was a day full of smiles. Sunday night we ALL (Haylan, Nan, Stephanie, Holly and I) went to stay the night at Taylor's house to get up the next morning to go to L.A.!

Monday (my actual birthday =]) was the L.A. trip. We went to Olver Street, Chinatown, and Hollywood. We saw all of the Stars' footprints and signatures. Then we headed over and visited my dad at the fire station. He gave us a tour which included a ride on the fire truck, squirting out water from the fire hose and trying on all the gear. For dinner, we ate at Kyle's house. and stayed the night at Taylor's house again.

Tuesday was beach day! Relaxing, fun, crazy, wonderful, perfect. The bonfire kept us warm as we roasted marshmallows and Starbursts.

And that sums up my week. =] There are so many other little random details that add to the whole of it, but I can't remember all of them.

Best week of the summer, no doubt about it.

Purple Hand, Short Story, and Ripped Jeans

Hello Hello Purple hand. Me, Holly, Lauren and Haylan drew on a huge butcher paper. It was quite fun, minus the fact that I am a horrible artist!
At Yogurt Island, I wrote a silly little story on my cup. It went as follows: "Once there was an obese taridactal. He loved eating chocolate mousse cake. Only the moon talked to him. Every night he would wait for her to rise and sing to him. It was her voice that made him fall in love." Random and mushy, but oh well hahaha

My jeans that are NOT BYU-Idaho approved hehe. I feel rebellious wearing ripped jeans and flip flops.

Oh, and Some Another Things:

Happy August! Good things happening this month:

Because I Have Been Given Much, I Too Must Give

Well, hello there Blogging World. It has been a while since my last post.
I have been home for a little over a week. Life is just great and wonderful. It was definitly an adjustment back to family life. I almost forgot how much of a handful my siblings can be! Hehe. But I love 'em. =]

This past week was full of friends and family. Going to the beach, swimming, adventuring and relaxing.

Hopefully I will find work. I need to pay "The Man" some big bucks for my future.
The other day, I was observing some man somewhere. I just did not want to end up like him. Without a stable job/income, living in a bad neighborhood. It just seemed as if he stopped progressing and was stuck in high school mentality. I thought to myself, "Why didn't this guy try to go to school and get a better job? To better himself?" Then I thought of his circumstances and the environment he was born into. He probably never had the money to go to college, and was never encouraged to. His opportunities were limited. I, however, come from a different background. Money is tight, but I still have the encouragemante and opportunity to go to college. It is not hard for me to do so. There are'nt too many oppositions.
What if I had been born into his life and he into mine? Would I have the perserverance and will power to succeed in his world? I highly doubt that I would. So I was grateful for what I have. I see all of the wonderful opportunities that I have to improve my life and to be better. I should not judge people by what they first appear to be. I do no know their situation. I do not know their struggles. There could be trials in people's lives that I never even thought of. Have I ever felt threatened or in danger to go to church? Have I ever suffered from true hunger and starvation? Never.
I am truly blessed.

I can help. I can open and walk through doors that others cannot. However, I can guide people to the doors and beckon them to enter.
