Well, nothings been happening lately HaHa. I already told about my fun fun weekend. Now it is just the week days. They are alright.
I got a package from Nan today! YAY. It had delicious cookies, pictures, and a letter. =] Oh happy day.
Today was really hot! It felt like California. AND THEN all of the sudden it became dark and cloudy. Lightning flashed in the night sky. Buckets of rain dumped on us. We were soaked. Sheesh. But it was fun.
I went to bed early last night! 11:06 p.m. was the time. However I laid in bed for a while, not sleepy at all.
Tonight I will try to do the same.
Yep, that is about it.

Saturday
Today was great. Well, it is 1 a.m. so I guess the post will say Sunday.
Oh, I got my visa application papers in the mail. It was all in Spanish haha. I need to get that done ASAP.
But I am talking about Saturday.
I slept until 12:30 (don't judge me). Then our Elders Quorum had a carne asada bbq at the park at 2. It was really delicious.
After that, Alden and I went to the river with Dani, Candice, Aimee, Christiana (a different one), Ruby, Gregg and Nate. And some other girl whose name I forgot. Sorry!
The river was soo cold. I really don't like cold water, really. It was still very fun though. The sun was out, and if I closed my eye and imagined, I felt like I was back home in sunny California. After we waded around in the river, some of our group jumped off a bridge. It was about 15 feet. I suppose? I am bad a judging height. I didn't do it for 2 reasons. 1) It was freezing water, and I had just dried off and was feeling the warmth of the sun. It would not have been worth landing in the cold water. 2) Someone died there from and undercurrent or something. I don't know if it was specifically from the bridge, but still, bad things can happen jumping off of things. So I just decided to watch.
At around 6:30, we get some people and go to try out the new Asian restaurant, Yin Yang. It was really good! Aimee and I shared the Cantonese stirfry. I definitly want to go back. BUT I still have to be frugal with my money, so probably not any time soon. Laaame.
Next we headed to the Sand Dunes for a bond fire. That was especially fun, too. It was all sandy haha. We were there until curfew.
In the apartment, we watched "Just Friends." It's a pretty good comedy.
And that was my Saturday.

Best Dinner Ever!
We put the table outside. Then covered it with foil. We made spaghetti, pasta salad, mashed potatoes, corn, and stuffing. We just dumped it all on the table and ate it all with our hands! No plates or forks, nothing. It was great fun. I felt like a savage animal. After we got full, the food just ended up in one big mushy pile in the middle. We squished it and played with it. SO FUN!
We couldn't leave out dessert! Following a fresh layer of foil, we plopped a carton of ice cream and a box of pudding right in the middle. Covered it with chocolate syrup and whipped cream, the dug in! It was cold. Naturally, that turned into something just short of a mud bath. There wes chocolate all over our faces, the floor, our arms, and hands. We played in it for so long. Just mushing, spreading and squeezing. I felt like a little kid.
After, we went to a dance for a little while. It was thundering and lightninging when I got there, but only in the distance. The storm got closer and closer until we had to cancel the dance. (It was outside). All of the sudden it started pouring rain! We rush back to the girls' dorm, and watch Avatar the Last Airbender episodes. Just like old times. Only this time with new people. It was really fun.
That was pretty much today, highlighted version. Yep.
Favorite Part of the Day:

Lazy Day
Today was good. I guess every day is pretty much good haha.
I actually spent about 3 hours on a couch doing absolutly nothing. Muahaha
Classes were nice to.
Well, Social Problems Class we talked about aging. It made me want to be healthy and active for my whole life.
Then in science, we talked about crazy and odd species. Easy stuff.
Went on a walk. Made food. (A salami sandwich. the salami looks like bologna, but whatever.)
Made brownies!
And now Jesse (my roommate) and I are watching some movie on TV. I don't know if I should watch it. 1. It is late and 2. It's a thriller, so the movie will mess with my psyche and I will be scared. Haha I am a whimp with these kind of movies.
But I just can't stop watching! Haha
Ok. I am done for now.
Favorite part of the day:
------Sitting on the swings in the gardens and seeing and elderly woman walk by. Pure white hair, white, natural dress. Walking with splendor and happiness. We could just tell she had "It". Not the "It" shown on TV, but the true, wonderful "It". She just made me smile. =]

Is This Not How I'm Supposed to Feel?!
Everyone always asks me if I am excited for my mission call. Well DUH. I mean, that is a polite question and whatnot. That's actually not even the problem.
The problem is that I'm not like suuuuper pumped and excited. Ok, that doesn't sound right. Because yes, I am happy and thrilled. This is the most important thing in my life so far. Yet I feel like it is as if someone is asking "OH, are you way excited to go to Psychology class today!!??" I feel like my mission is just a part of life already. Like, "Oh, I'm going to Peru. I accept that, and I'm moving on." It is just there.
Maybe the fact hasn't completely registered yet. That would make sense. It does take me a while to be affected by things. Yeah, that is pretty much the story of my life. Something monumental happens, and I just shrug it off like it's no big deal. Then a couple days or even a few weeks later I will all of the sudden break down and realize what happened. IIiinteresting....
Don't get me wrong, I am grateful and in awe at what is about to come. Serving a mission has been my main goal for the past couple of years. It just hasn't clicked yet.
Favorite Part of the Day:
-------Buying much needed groceries!
(Haha I know that sounds lame, but I don't want to put the obvious/usual stuff. Like today Zumba was great, but I put that last time. And of course I very much enjoy talking to Nan. And blogging always helps me clear my thoughts. But those are just the everyday wonderfullnesses. =P)

What has happened lately:
-Today there was a 6:00 a.m. Temple trip. It was wonderful. Afterwards, I bought a breakfast burrito at the Crossroads. Yum. (ARGH! I have to talk about fast food later on)
-Summer Solstice party on Saturday! It was quite fun.
-Did I already talk about the David Archuleta concert? Well, I went to a David Archuleta concert on Saturday because he came to our school. I was a bit reluctant to go, but went anyway. He is very talented and it was a good show. He's pretty funny too. I think we would be great friends. That was fun stuff.
-Sunday I gave a talk in church. It went well I suppose.
-Family Home Evening yesterday was good too.
-Didn't do so well on my Psychology test. Laaaame.
-OK, about fast food. I looked online at my spending report, the last about SEVENTY DOLLARS has been spent on fast food. That is absolutly unacceptable. Last semester I was so frugal! But not this semester apparently. Why? I don't know. It's just a little bit here and a little bit there. Five dollars on subway, four dollars on ice cream, seven dollars for mexican food. I just think that I am getting burnt out this semester, so I am buying more restaurant food. Because I LOVE IT! It makes me feel better.
-Today was goood. Just chilled I guess. I went to a cycling class with Dani and Nate. It was intense. I pretty much died. HaHa
That's about it I suppose.
OH YEAH!
Nan bought her ticket to come to California on August 4th. She will be there for my birthday. =]]

A Little About Sleep
Hey hey
Now I need to practice Spanish! I am so rusty from when I took it in high school. People are speaking to me in Spanish, and it's great, but I don't understand haha. Oh well, it will come back.
It was a good weekend. Hanging out with friends and stuff. Sunny too, which is wonderful. The David Arhcaleta concert was actually really good and fun. I went to DI on Friday and bought a great sweater. It was $4, hooray for DI
Today in Psychology, we were talking about sleep. And well, it just made me sleepy. But it was interesting. We learned about the different brain waves and activity during sleep and all that. I learned why sometimes I wake up but I can't move and am paralyzed. Because during R.E.M. sleep, Rapid Eye Movement, it is imperative that you have muscle paralysis. Otherwise you will physically act out and do what you are dreaming. Sometimes, when you wake up, everything is not on the same page. Meaning sometimes I wake up before my mind has released my muscles.
Just thought I'd throw in a little academic stuff in here. That is the lesson for today. Haha.
I will post up pictures from when I opened up my mission call today too.

Mission Call =]
My mission call came today! Peru Lima South!!
awesome!
I report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on November 3rd. Then after three weeks there, I will be going to the Missionary Training Center in Peru for six weeks! Woah, Three months in the MTC! But I want to be pro at Spanish, so I will be needing those weeks!
Well, it was a pretty hectic day, regardless of getting my mission call. I secretly didn't want it to come this week because I had some big things to do.
- a 5 to 7 page review essay for New Testament
- science test opened today
- I am giving a talk on Sunday
Ok, well now that I list it out and see that there are only three items, it seems like no big deal. But it was though. Because I pretty much have not done homework all week. I'm lazy, get over it.
And today, I was with my science group in the Geology Museum (sounds smart eh?) before class. We were working on our project when two of my roommates texted me "Your calls hear!"
Naturally I told them not to open it (I would not be suprised if Jesse did)
Then I called my mom to tell her. She freaked out haha.
I told her I wanted to wait to open it on Sunday night because I just wanted to get all of my stuff done and over with.
She freaked out again and said she could not wait that long hahaha
Then I had to go to class, so I told her I would just call her later. When I called her it was then decided that I would open my call at nine that evening.
The next couple of hours, I was focused on my essay. Playing beautiful classical music from Pandora. It was wonderful, I even had a candle lit.
Nine o'clock came around
People were gathering from near and far
The talking and noise slowly dispelled into silence.
I began to open my letter, excitement growing and growing
"....PERU LIMA SOUTH MISSION!!"
A roar of cheering erupted.
Everyone whistling and clapping
I could not stop smiling
Hugs all around
Picture after picture
Congratulations and Thank yous
Happiness and Joy
Anxious and Excited
Family and Friends
Great, unforgettable Day!

Zumba Zumba
Today was a great day. It always is.
It was sunny, then pouring rain and windy, then a little sunny, then sprinkly and windy.
My 9 a.m. psychology class was cancelled. I came back to the apartment and made breakfast(the knock off brand of Honey Bunches of Oats), and jazz up the PowerPoint that my group was presenting in class. Then my group presented and it went well. After, I read some stuff for my next class, and then went to that class. It is called "Interpersonal Communication Theory and Practice" I think. But everyone just calls it Interpersonal Relation, or Comm. 150. Today in that class was so fun! It is from 5 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. every Wednesday. Today we had a "Very Merry Unbirthday" to celebrate everyone in the class' birthday. I dressed up pretty crazy. Bummer I should have taken a picture.
Then we talked about gender communication. It was interesting.
After class, some friends and I went to a Zumba class. Just for fun. The class is basically salsa/hip hop dance exercising. Fun stuff indeed.
Blah blah blah. I am just typing the typical stuff that happened in the day.
Let's see what else.. Oh, Stephanie made delicious (HEY, I didn't have to think of the Fergie song to spell that! Well, I sung it after I typed it, but I just typed it up without thinking! WOw, that's never happened. ANYWAY) mixed berry cobbler. We bought vanilla ice cream with it too. MmmmMMMmmmmmMMMMmm.
Favorite Part(s) of the Day: (<<<<---- that should be a daily thing!)

Blogging, Just for Fun
What should we blog about? (We being the people around me, becaue I am on the couch in the girls' apartment)
Oh, Christiana just declared that her wedding colors will be purple and gold. They just so happen to be her high school colors haha.
Mine were red, white and blue.
Meeshell is telling an embarrassing flatulent story... yeah haha
That's it.

Sunday Potluck, M.A.S.H. and Smiling
Aaaah.. it's very late. But I don't want to go to sleep. I never want to go to sleep. Sleeping is laaame, for the most part.
Really fun day today. Church is always wonderful. We, me and my Idaho family, had a potluck today. Delicious (haha I honestly think of the song Fergalicious when they spell it out in the song. Because that is the only way I can remember how to spell it. So, thank you Fergie for teaching me to spell delicious.)
Then group project, dishes, stadium singing. And M.A.S.H.!!!
It was so good. My life will be awesome.
Here is what Stephanie wrote/ how it turned out to be:
"Brian will marry Hilary Clinton in a ninja outfit. They will go on a honeymoon in Spain. They live in a glass apartment with their 7 kids and 10 dogs. One of the kids is named Isaac. Brian is a famous author and a Chippendale dancer and makes $100,000 a year. He drives a silver ferrari. Hilary stays at home with the kids and they live in New Zealand."
Great life, huh? Only a couple negatives...hahahaha. But I have a great career. =PP
It was so great that I had to call Nan to tell her. After which we proceeded to talk on the phone for 94 minutes and 19 seconds (it tells me on my phone, I'm not being creepy, I promise). Our faces hurt from smiling the whooole time. No joke. =] So that was great stuff for sure.
Aaaaaand I have a quiz due tomorrow before 7:45 a.m. It would be easier if I just did it tonight instead of waking up early to do it.
Then WHY am I still blogging, you might ask? Well....that is a great question. I dunno?
I'm just going to put up two pictures.

Me and Marcus

Me and Racheal
Ok,I guess I'll stop now.

Pictures Would Be Nice.
I could/should put up pictures of my Idaho Family. That would be nice. Let me see...
Driving Skoo and Idaho Family

This is me when I was 15 1/2 taking driving school. It reminds me of the lyrics "If you wanna be somebody, if you wanna go somewhere, you better wake up and pay attention."
So, let me explain my Idaho family. It aaaaalll started last semester. My aunt knew a girl from her ward that was going up to BYUI the same time I was. She told me that we should be friends. I added her on facebook, got her number, and started texting her. Then I happen to run into her in my first week here. Her name is Christiana. We decided that we are the same person, we are so similar. My roommates, Alden and Jesse, go over to Chrisitana's apartment for some girl's birthday, Racheal. We have tons of fun and then go over there every day pretty much. Stephanie is from our I-Team from the first week of school. Umm.. Sabrina and Meeshell are friends with Christiana. Sari is new to our family this semester. And this semester we add Christiana's bf/fiancee and his roommates, Marcus, Brett, and Preston. Then Lee and Anthony appear out of no where? Oh yes, and Racheal's boyfriend Jacob.
And I think that is it?
That's the family. We hang out everyday. Go to crazy dance parties. Watch movies, and cook delicious food. Mmmmhhmmmm....So, that is the Idaho Family. We have so much fun. I would like to give more detail and description for everyone individually, but I am too lazy.
That's all for now I suppose.
Peace

Don't Drink Sugar Water haha
Hm.... I do NOT want to be sitting around watching a movie. But that is exactly what we are doing. Laaame.
Uhh... well I kinda drank some sugar water with Meeshell because we wanted to see if it will make us hyper. It didn't work for her. Yet it certainly worked for me, hence the not wanting to sit around watching a movie.
Instead, I tried to make a card castle with Lee. It did not end well. My card castle feel down, and I got up, threw a pillow, and knocked his down. (On accident, naturally). Ooops. =/ Lo siento. It was like a little kid tantrum
So I grabbed a laptop and started to blog, to get my craziness out. Yep, that is what is happening as of right now.
Today we went to a bbq and played Flour Capture the Flag. Very delicious and fun.
I guess that's it.
G'night!

This comes from my other blog... and in that one, I don't care about proper writing style, as you might notice.
we'll see. the day will soon come.
that phrase was used for pretty much everything in the past. the day will come when i go to high school, the day will come when i graduate high school, the day will come when i go to college, the day will come when i put my mission papers in...
i used to always want "that day" to come right then and there! but now that those days are either passed or shooting towards me, i feel like i don't want them to come yet. I am still not ready for those days to come.
but i have to be ready. i have to. hm....

Life is like a Book
Today, for me, was like any normal day. I went to class, went for a run, hung out with friends, ate pizza and ice cream. (It was delicious)
But for the class of 2010, it was the beginning of a new life. What joys they have in store for them. Graduating high school is an amazing experience.
I embarked upon the same journey a year ago. Now I am an old pro-well, in some areas.
It is weird to think that life ends chapters so quickly, yet turns pages so slowly. How does that work? Life is full of tricky little things like that. Which is why every word counts in the book of life.
Isn't that a great analogy? Whoever thought to compare life to a book was brilliant.
Anyways...(In a Nacho Libre voice, naturally) I am still anxiously waiting for my mission call. It will be here some day. I'm not frantically checking the mail every day that's for sure. It will come in its own due time.
This weekend looks promising. There is a lot going on, and so many fun things to do.
I was supposed to go to bed early this week. I didn't. Laaaaame. Why can I never be disciplined enough to go to bed earlier?! Good gracious, it is harder than it seems. Oh well, I will continue to try regardless.
Hm... What's something new and exciting I can blog about...??
I'm meeting a lot of new friends. Our Rexburg Family has significantly grown this semester. Nearly doubled, I'd wager. Let's see, what else? I think I might want to major in English when I return from my mission. Maybe become an English teacher? I really want to go to China or somewhere and teach English for a summer or something. That would be smashing.
Lastly, I am missing a pair of jeans and a shirt. I cannot find them anywhere. Maybe I left them at home during break. I certainly have not seen them since then. That is a likely possibility that would be positive, because then I will have them to wear when I get home. And they won't be lost forever.
Well, I believe that I shall prepare to retire.
Good Night.

Just Real Quick
Today was good.
I just procrastinated my really HUGE paper I have to finish by tomorrow. And I am up and it is 2:40 am. WHAT AM I DOING BLOGGING?!!
Quickly, I'd like to announce that Sari is awesome! =] Today we had some fun library time, and I was hungry. So when we got back "Home" (I'll explain that later, basically my home away from home, away from home.) I was sitting on the couch and she pops up with a bowl of spaghetti!
It pretty much made my day. Thanks Sari
Ok, off to bed and to miss my Psychology class tomorrow. (I blame Nan, she encouraged me not to go)
G'Night

Waiting for My Misison Call
My mission papers went in a week ago. They should be coming pretty soon. Exciting? I would say YES!!
Good stuff, good stuff.
People always ask me where I think I am going to be sent. They want me to guess. I honestly will be happy wherever I go. And I do not want to guess, because I don't see a purpose to. Why try and just guess where I'm going? I don't have any idea. No matter where I guess, I will still be sent wherever I am going to go. I don't know if I'm explaining it very well, just know that I am not going to guess.
The waiting is not so bad. I would say I have patience with some things.
And I am positive I will love it. It will be very hard work, the toughest times of my life. But when you give all that you have, you get so much more in return.

titles, titles, oh how I love naming titles.
Aaah yes, and sometimes I like to post more than one blog in a day. Just whenever.
But today was interesting. It was good because my teacher let me take a test that I missed last week. That was a load off of my shoulders. But today, I ran a "Teach Your Family About Emergency Preparedness" booth for three hours. I liked it because I was interacting with people, but at the same time, I would have rather hung out with my friends and stuff. But oh well, I was doing service.
Then I got really hungry at about 11. So two friends and I went to Taco Bell. I got a few things, but they forgot my 99 cent bean burrito!!! NO! How dare they?! I was still hungry after because I didn't get my burrito. I had toast with cream cheese when I got back to my apartment.
The End.

Hola
This is my public blog. I dont know if anyone will read it, but I'll make it regardless. Because I have some pretty deep thoughts, if I do say so myself.
Tonight, I just want to say... getting plenty of sleep is important. It is one of my goals. Actually it has been for quite some time. But it's really hard. I need more sleep, but I like staying up late. Eh... I'll get to bed early one of these days.
Well, I'm pretty excited to have a public blog. We'll see how this goes.
